I love my Babyliss flat iron! I was using a Chi flat iron for a good two years until it stopped being super hot. I like how the Babyliss gives you the option to pick your temperature. I don't set it to the maximum setting, but it does heat up quickly and it doesn't leave my hair looking dry or brittle. I also bought the 1 3/4" size because I have long, thick hair and like to spend no more than 10-15 minutes on drying/styling it in the morning as I get ready for work. It definitely serves its purpose for me.
It was recommended to me by two friends that also own it and my hairstylist also uses on her clients. If you're still on the fence on which flat iron to purchase for yourself, you won't be disappointed if you buy this one. =)

I looooove this straightener. It makes my hair super shiny and smooth. I can't make my hair this shiny and smooth any other way.
The wider plates do make straightening a lot faster for those of us that have longer hair. Highly recommend it!!!

I was looking for a higher quality/professional flat iron for my hair. I have really thick hair and I love the look when it is straightened, but it would always take me forever with my Conair flat iron. So, I found this flat iron at a reasonable price and it works great! There are five heat settings: 300, 340, 375, 410 and 450. I always use the highest setting because my hair is so thick and it works fast! It heats up in ten minutes and it only takes me about fifteen minutes to straighten my hair. It has cut my straightening time in half! I love it and the blue color is really pretty. The blades are definitely big enough for thick hair. This product is worth the price!

I recently got a "new do" and my stylist used this flat iron on my curly hair after only blowing it dry for a few minutes. If you have curly/wavy hair, you know what a poofy mess we were looking at. I was skeptical, but it worked so quickly and so well that I had her write down the info for me and I went straight home and ordered it. I couldn't wait to use it the minute it came. It heats up in seconds so you don't have to wait around. It has temperature control and a temp. guide chart(on intruction sheet) so you know what setting to use for your hair type. I like that the buttons are on the outside so I don't have to reach inside to turn it off/on. Caution: there isn't a lot of room around the titanium plate and I did get a small burn on my thumb when I bumped it, but I am so used to my old iron that I don't think I was being careful. All in all, this is a great buy and I'm getting one for my sister and my mom!

This is a great product! I straighten my hair in half the time I used to. I have thick wavy/curly and incredible frizzy hair. I've never been the kind of person to buy an entire set for keeping my hair straight(gel/sprays/serums...etc). I hate the stickiness those products give my hair. With this iron the only thing I use, and recommend, is a heat protection spray. This product keeps my hair straight, smooth and soft all day. It also has a 4 year warranty which many other flat irons only have a 1 year. This is the first flat iron that finally put my hair in place. Please find the setting that's right for you. I've read reviews where people say that their hair got fried. If your hair got fried you probably used the wrong setting.
