Does What it SaysFeb 22, 2011
By KidLaw I use this with Joico KPak Shampoo/Chelating Shampoo and the KPak reconstructor. It does wonders for my hair. As an African-American with relaxed hair, the cuticle sealer did a great job of laying down my new growth and making my hair really smooth. This is a good thing when you are several weeks post relaxer.
I really love the Joico Kpak line. When you use it the right way (read: in conjunction with a moisturzing deep conditioner), it does great things for your hair.

It Really WorksDec 14, 2010
By kelker11 I frequently get perm's, and this product removes ALL the perm smell. It also keeps my hair from looking frizzy after each perm. For myself, I wet my hair in the shower the day of my perm, and I literally soak my hair with this stuff and leave it on while I bathe. Over the course of the next week, I'll use it two or three more times the same way. It really makes a difference in my hair. Before I started using this, my hair always looked damaged and frizzy, and now, with a few uses after each perm, my hair stays in good shape. This is a product I will continue to use.

Fine Natural Curlies: Stay Away!Jul 07, 2011
By Amber Booth A stylist coated my hair in this after an all-over color with nasty results. I have fine, curly hair that gets weighed down easily, and is protein sensitive. I use just enough protein in my hair products to give my hair strength, and my hair is pretty healthy. After the stylist put this on my hair I asked to see the bottle, and saw that there was Human Hair Keratin in it. NOT GOOD for me. The stylist wasn't familiar with protein, I don't think, and couldn't figure out why my hair was so stiff afterwards (needs to be followed with moisturizing treatment). My hair is now flat, heavy, and doesn't want to curl. I can't WAIT until this wears off, and I learned my lesson: always ask to look at a product BEFORE they put it in your hair.
I can't speak for others with different hair types. It may work great for those with more damaged hair. But if you already use products with protein in your hair, you probably don't need this and it may cause more harm than good.
