That's the only reason I gave it a 4 star rather than 5. The old stuff was easier to spray with and had a little better hold in my humble opinion. It's just my opinion and I know what I like so if you like firm and can't get the old Joico, get this one. It's certainly better than the JoiMist Firm, that's for sure.

It works-all day long. Just do not expect to brush your hair after spraying it until you wash it again. If you wash your hair in the morning, expect to wash it again that night. But all your hair will stay in place all day long, no matter how long your hair is. I have hair all the way down to my waist. Keeps all of my hair straight all day long, after doing the Chi. Only thing I do not like, it beads up in my bangs.

While on vacation, I had my hair cut and the stylist used this product. My hair is fine and limp, and I lived in Florida with lots of humidity. This product, which defines itself as "spray adhesive," really does the job of holding some height and volume (for several hours) when I go to the trouble of styling my hair, and I consider it a life saver. Of course, it makes your hair is stiff, but those of us who need a lot of help for a decent style will put up with this. After spraying, you can also easily arrange a style by pulling out spiky pieces, pushing up some height, or smoothing it down. You do have to run it under hot water every few uses to keep the product from building up at the sprayer tip which makes the spray go where it shouldn't.
Great product. I cannot find it in local stores or salons, however, and the site I ordered it from sent it in a timely manner and well packed.

this is a great product for limp, fine hair-you will get lift & hold! whatever style you want--you better be sure you like what you see before you spray
