I have used this hairspray for the last 10 years, but this was my first time buying it online because of the better price. This hairspray works great for my fine hair that is hard to manage. This hairspray helps hold what little body my hair has and gives it some lift. This product also doesn't build up on the hair and washes out easily. IMO, the best super hold, volumizing hairspray on the market.

If we were back in the '80's this would probably be my favorite product. No doubt this spray would hold those crazy high hair styles in place all day. If you want to maintain your style during an earthquake then this is the hairspray for you! However, if you want flexible hold with no sticky feel you should probably take a pass. After reading so many positive reviews from professional stylists I had high expectations. In fact, as soon as it arrived in the mail I opened the package and ran to the bathroom mirror to style my hair so I could check it out. I was so shocked by the hard hairspray helmet that came out of the can. I actually thought that maybe the cold temperature outside had frozen the spray in my mail box. Surely, no one would give such high reviews for anything that made your hair feel so awful. I decided to try it again the next day (hoping for better results when the product was used at room temperature) - no such luck. I have used it a few times since but I have the feeling that this giant can of hairspray will sit on my linen closet shelf for years to come.
There are a couple of other issues also. It smells. It's not a terrible smell but it is somewhat strong and the smell stays with you all day. If you don't like the smell then you are stuck with it until the next time you wash your hair. Finally, be careful where you spray! I usually style my hair in my bathroom and noticed that the spray leaves a sticky residue on everything it lands on. My bathroom door and sink area had to be scrubbed down to get the coating of hairspray off them... and I mean scrubbed. It didn't just wipe off. It took several minutes with a potent cleaner.
I'm sure there are appropriate uses for this spray. Maybe intricate wedding styles that you need to last or on halloween when you need your style to defy gravity. If you just want a regular daytime spray without stickiness or residue - keep looking. I would recommend Paul Mitchell flexible style super clean spray.

A very nice volume spray that is the equivalent of what a good salon would use. The spray nozzle clogs sometimes but a little warm water resolves it in a second.

l read that Callista Gingrich uses this and so I ordered it. I wasn't after helmet hair, but I did want staying power. This works better than anything else I've tried. First time I've trusted a Republican!
