I bought this product on the advice of my hair dresser, when my hair started to fall out to the tune of 4-5 handfuls every day for two months after I used an old box of hair color (it was probably 2 years old). I had tried everything I could get my hands on OTC and nothing would stop the falling out. The best part of this system is the leave-in scalp treatment...it actually stopped most of what was left from falling out. I know I lost 3/4 of my hair, I still look like a cancer patient, but now new hair can grow in (very slow process). I am looking at a good year to grow a fair crop of hair back. I will probably use this product for the rest of my life. It really saved me... Nioxin System 4 Trio.

This product will not regrow hair, period. But I think it may be worth buying for some. I am a mid life woman who has Seborrea of the face and hairline. No scalp dandruff. Regular shampoos seem to clog things up and do nothing to get rid of excess oil. It is this oil that causes the dht to do its damage and cause hair loss. I have androgenic allopecia as well as the Seb derm so I need to shampo daily to keep the oil under control. I also take 320mg Saw Palmetto supplements daily. I will say that since starting the Saw Palmetto along with the Nioxin shampoo 3 weeks ago, my shedding seems to be slowing down some. The conditioner is awsome! No sticky, dirty feeling residu is left and my hair feels is softer than it would be without it. Unfortunately for me, the scalp treatment does leave a sticky, feeling to my hair. All in all I give the trio 4 stars.

First let me say that I have NOT been using it regularly, but did try it for a week straight. Having said that, I don't like it. I don't like the way the scalp treatment makes my hair feel - it feels dry and brittle. The shampoo and conditioner are average. I didn't like the way my hair behaved and of course, because I didn't use it long enough - I saw no results, nor do I think I would see any. The shampoo and conditioner, without the scalp treatment, just made my hair limp and lifeless.
